Shampoo Bars
Yes pre-oiling of hair is mandatory. Its part of the process as it nourishes, protects your hair and balances the cleanse.
Switching from chemical shampoos to natural bars often comes with a short transition or detox phase. Your scalp may take a few weeks to rebalance, so results can take time. Be patient, and give yourself a few washes to adjust and learn the right technique.
Whether you need a conditioner after using a shampoo bar can vary from person to person. Conventional shampoos often leave behind silicones and coating agents, so when you stop using them, your hair begins to reset and breathe again. During this transition or detox phase, you may feel the need for a conditioner — but over time, many find their hair needing less as their hair adjusts.
Our soaps are made without artificial hardeners and retain their natural glycerine. Since glycerine draws moisture from the air, the bars may soften in humid weather — this is a natural characteristic of pure soap.
Keeping the bar in a dry, well-ventilated space helps it last longer. You can also use moisture absorbers. Or in very high humidity a simple alternative is to convert the bar into a liquid for use.
The usage of the bar is not dosage based. It varies by hair length, water quality, hair thickness, frequency of use, and application method – thus there are no fixed number of washes that the bar would last.
