1. Mildly oil hair and scalp (avoid soaking).
2. Wet hair and shampoo bar thoroughly.
3. Rub bar gently on hair from roots to ends in one direction (like combing) to avoid tangling.
4. Add enough water to create a rich lather—this reduces friction and makes cleansing easier.
5. Massage well to remove oil and buildup.
6. If possible, leave for 1–2 minutes.
7. Repeat application if needed.
8. Rinse thoroughly.
9. Follow with conditioner, ACV rinse, or both if required.
Our shampoo bars have no side effects. Please read the ingredient list carefully and avoid if you have any known allergies.
The usage of the bar is not dosage based. It varies by hair length, water quality, hair thickness, frequency of use, and application method – thus there are no fixed no. of washes that the bar would last.
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Shelf life is 24 months from manufacture if stored properly. As our bars contain no preservatives or stabilizers and come in plastic-free packaging, we recommend using them sooner for best results.
Switching from chemical shampoos to natural bars may take time—anywhere from a few weeks to several months—to see best results. Your scalp and hair need to adjust, so be patient and give yourself time to learn the right usage technique.
These issues often have both internal causes (diet, stress, sleep) and external causes (chemical products, heat styling). Our shampoo bars help address external factors effectively, but for lasting solutions, a holistic approach is required. We don’t make medical claims, and we don’t believe in “miracle cure” shampoos—most such claims are marketing gimmicks.
First-time users may experience tangling.
To avoid this:
- Apply the bar in one direction only, from top to ends.
- Or, convert the bar into liquid—especially helpful for long, thick, or curly hair, and in humid climates.
Possible reasons:
- Too much oil applied before washing—use only a little.
- Not enough water/lather during application.
- Rinsing before thorough massaging. Ensure you lather well and massage before rinsing.
Conditioner needs vary by individual:
- Dry hair: Use Earthy Sapo’s oil-based, non-greasy conditioner.
- Oily scalp: Use an ACV or lemon rinse.
- Oily scalp + dry ends / very hard water: Use both.
Our bars retain natural glycerine, which attracts moisture. In humid weather, bars may become soft—this is normal. To prevent wastage, convert the bar to liquid in such conditions.
1. Mildly oil hair before use—avoid heavy oiling.
2. Apply in one direction only to prevent tangling.
3. Use enough water to build good lather.
4. Consider making a liquid version for humid climates, long/thick/curly hair, or to reduce friction if you have hair fall.
